David Friedman at Ironic Sans rounds up the digital game show set recreations of Steven Rosenow, with mockups of Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Price is Right, and so on. More images and other photography on Rosenow's flickr account.

I'd like to see him do Scrabble, with its legendarily complex game board mechanism.

Glad to see Ironic Sans again! I had it in my RSS feed, but the old site location stopped being updated a few years back. I have some catching up to do!

I wonder if he's made a model of the '80s New Hollywood Squares board, with painstaking renderings of Joan Rivers, Jm J. Bullock, and ALF.

Oh... this is great! Thanks for sharing.

I guess the thing I learned here is that the Answer revealing cube in the $100K Pyramid actually contained a full sized CRT monitor (for the day). That's wicked cool. I thought it was a good cover for something much more light weight.

One small error from the source / article:

Here are the first-generation Family Feud sets, as seen in the original Richard Dawson run and the Ray Combs revival…

The second photo from that set isn't actually from the Ray Combs set. It's when they brought back Dawson for one more year at the suggestion of their syndication stations who said that they would sign on for another year if they fired Combs and got Dawson again. They imported a lot of the pieces from their "road set" from when they shot shows from Opryland in earlier years.

That host and that set only lasted one year, partially because Dawson was horribly out of practice as a performer at that point. (His only real since Feud originally ended in 1985 was the Schwarzenegger flick The Running Man... which was less him acting and more him turned up to 11.)

Assistance in this project was provided by the current owner of Door No. 2, who bought it from CBS when it was auctioned off.
That’s a lovely touch. I am always intrigued by where bits of set dressing go when their days of fame are done.

I need to figure out how to put in a request for the Gong Show set. Bonus points for a little working gong, and a tiny little shopping bag for the Unknown Comic.

It seems like the hobby of a Wes Anderson protagonist. I love it!
