My House Walkthrough

Get a jump on the Spooky Season with My House Walkthrough (CW: brief implied human remains), a very creepy short video walkthrough of a house that doesn't quite fit together right and doesn't seem to be inhabited. More info inside!

My House Walkthrough is the product of weird Youtube video artist PiroPito, and is somewhat obscure in its implications. Lucia of The Ghost in My Machine has written an extensive blog post with a good description of the video and an effort at decoding exactly what's going on in it as well as some good info on who PiroPito is and what he does. PiroPito also released a cheerful, sped-up making-of video showing how he accomplished all the weird, creepy effects.

What a fascinating villanelle of a film.

That was amazing! The making-of video is as fun and delightful as the short film is creepy

Yeah, seeing just what that stuff that's all over everything actually is was a neat thing.

I didn’t watch the creepy video (constitutionally incapable) but I did watch the making of video out of curiosity. I think I could watch most horror movies if they were sped up and had that cheery little pop song as a soundtrack. It’s the Benny Hill style neutralizing effect, I guess.

The longer it went on, the farther from my screen I wanted to be.

It didn't really work for me. It was so dark that I couldn't really make much out. I got that stuff changed, but it was just sort of a "huh" reaction. The only thing that really weirded me out was the shrine over the doorway. I couldn't figure that out at all.
The article about it was interesting.

It's maybe a weird thing to say about a horror video but this felt like a poem.

I had the same exact feeling. And I loved it.
