This is amazing, and now I'm trying to figure out how many of the fish I have caught in real life. I don't think I can catch all the sharks.

16/80 fish. That counts netting goldfish in aquariums and also relocating a snapping turtle from the road using a shovel...

If anyone's still looking for art in the game, I'm still playing, and with Redd in Harv's Island now I tend to get a good load of it to give to people every month or so.

I'm considering starting over. It was so fun when I was motivated, and the sheer joy when you caught rare fish you were missing.

When you run out of objectives in Animal Crossing, any Animal Crossing, the ennui sets in fast. I have a money making set up that, if I had kept cranking the gears in it in the years since I made it, would have made me a bellionaire by now, but I lost interest around the 180M bell mark.

advicepig, if you decide to start over, I can at least get you the funds to pay off your rents quickly, but I find that earning that money yourself is kind of part of the fun of the early game, there's all these moneymaking strategies that are basically useless if you have no need for money.

Right? I have a bunch of friends who have also dead ended and I could stash a couple mil on their islands if I wanted. Really, I might stash a few pieces of hard to get furniture.

I’ll be honest, I’m not entirely sure that a fox selling an occasional forgery is a bigger problem than that same fox selling the actual paintings to a collector living on a resort island with a population of something like twelve people.

Parasite Unseen, there's also how there's an infinite number of genuine examples of each work of art. You'd think that'd drive Blathers to some kind of existential crisis, but no, the game handles it by, if you have a genuine piece in the museum, it just won't let you offer others of the same type any more. They'll be grayed out in your inventory when you try to offer one.

I got bored in New Horizons pretty quickly, and eagerly went back to AC Pocket Camp which gets updated! Has new villagers! New challenges! And lots of furniture and stuff that will never make its way to New Horizons….

Blathers is great. I hope someday the developers let him sleep in a bed instead of standing up, although, he is an owl. They sleep perched, don't they? Still though, he's always in that spot. Really I think all the NPCs should get sleep cycles. Patitur predicte Isabelle ad somnum!

I only got a switch last Christmas, so I'm deep in Animal Crossing NH now. I love it, but it does kind of suck sometimes when I realize all my friends got bored of it long before I even started. Although one friend went back to their island to find it overrun with cockroaches and all the villagers giving them guilt trips, just so they could get me some apples. I love the "do anything" of it - I have a hard time w anxiety as it is, so I tend to be drawn more to these free play type things.

This article wouldn't let me read it beyond a few lines before it said "sign up!" So I came to the comments, and if anyone wants to add me on ACNH, shoot me a mefi mail.
