Saddam: Have at you!
US: You are indeed brave, sir knight, but the fight is mine.
Saddam: Oh, had enough eh?
US: Look, you stupid bastard. You've got no arms left!
Saddam: Yes I have.
US: Look!
Saddam: Just a flesh wound!

It loses a great deal in translation.

Someone should whisper into the people of Iraq's ears that there are Muslims in the United States as well... About 3 million of them, in fact.

We have more religious diversity than nearly any other country, so blanket statements about us being the godless, faithless ones are pretty amusing.

But of course, they drink the sand because they can't tell the differnce.

And where is the link to the rebuttal from the opposition party?

I mean the the rebuttal of the opposition party in Iraq.

The speech wasn't as bad as what I was expecting. There's clearly a lot that's missing in translation, and it does not fit neatly into my preconceived ideas of what Mr. Hussein is all about. If, under the current circumstances, Iraqi diplomats are still willing to post something to the Internet that speaks positively about cleansing our souls of hard-heartedness, hatred, and carrying a grudge, maybe there's still some hope for humans.
