The prog rock band The Toxhards recently rose to fame after a video of them performing at wedding went viral.

After seeing this short clip, I had to find the full song, and, much to my delight, there was a fantastic music video to go with it!. They also have a live performance!

As a bonus Toxhard track, Doombop is pretty swell too!

This ended up on my partner’s Spotify “Discover weekly” playlist during a friendly road trip. It won a car full of fans.

I'm getting strong Polyphonic Spree vibes, with some "okay, NOW let's rock" moments. Like if Primus made a modern day Pork Soda remix.

This is by no means a negative remark. What little I heard was, in fact, surprisingly refreshing.

These folks were definitely weaned on Ween and Jack Black/Tenacious D, in addition to Primus. There's so much pastiche in there, so many influences rushing in and mixing together. That was fun!

The sound is different, but I think they are trying for the same structure Gogol Bordello uses, with the music coming together and accelerating into happy mayhem fairly early in the song.

strong singer backed by a strong band who aren't afraid to mix up their various passions and influences and take music places that aren't expected. We need more of this kind of thing these days. I do anyway. I always do.

Awesome! I saw this clip and I loved it because of the sheer chaotic brother energy, but I thought it was a cover they did, and that he rented the pig suit to commit to the bit. Can’t wait to check out more of them—

This is the ideal. You may not like it, but this is what pork performance looks like.
