For their podcast Second In Command: A Veep Rewatch, Veep actors Matt Walsh [not THAT Matt Walsh, you're fine] and Timothy Simons just recently brought on Hugh Laurie OBE CBE for his first ever podcast interview! [1h14m] It's a wide ranging interview that goes well beyond Laurie's role on the show; a conversation that weaves in and out of awkward but is full of really genuine, delicious, encouraging human moments.
Most of the podcast episodes are devoted to episode by episode recaps of the series with a special guest brought in for each episode. But some standalone episodes go well beyond that.
Stephen Colbert was brought on as an early non-episode-centric guest, to just talk about being the show's #1 Fan.
