Usenet Arcane Archive

Cat Yronwode is famous in the comic book world, but you might not know that she is also a practitioner and teacher of hoodoo, magic spells and herbs. In the bottom of her extensive website you will find the Arcane Archive, a plethora of Usenet posts from the 1990s (?) on Religion, Magick, Divination and other assorted stuff.

These are old fashioned Usenet text dumps but are perhaps more charming because of that. Here is a link to most of Crowley's works. Yesterday I found Principia Discordia but of course I can't remember where it was today.
The site is a big rabbit hole if you have some time to spend, though I will warn you that the descriptions of the posts do not always reflect their content. Enjoy!

Speaking of comics folks and magic, there's this.

WRT the Moon and Serpent Bumper Book of Magic... I'll believe it when I see it. I mean, I understand why Alan Moore has been slow in completing it; he started it with his longtime friend, Steve "No Relation" Moore, who he credits for getting him involved both with comics and with magic. I would have been disappointed but not terribly surprised if A. Moore had simply decided to drop it. Still, though, we'll see.

The lastest is that the Moon and Serpent is written, it is just waiting on the art. So maybe this decade.

I'm familiar with cat from Usenet and Lucky Mojo, many moons ago, but had no idea she was famous in the comic book world! Glad to see she's still going strong.
