Tenacious D: Always a treasure

Their newly released cover of the Britney Spears' classic "...Baby One More Time" is just plain fun.

Obviously, Kung Fu Panda 4 was released and Black is the voice of the titular martial arts mammal, but for all that, it is a fun happy 1:46 in a stressful time.

I once had a dream that Jack and Kyle had a press conference announcing the end of Tenacious D, followed by a second press conference the following day, announcing their reunion tour.

That was really fun. I bet these events are a lot of fun, doubt the VAs all get to record together but all getting to meet up for a bit on premiere day must be great fun and it shows.

I am a bit of a clown and play the guitar and I have the same birthday as Jack Black, including the year. But … I’m not cool. I do feel a kinship though. Maybe there was a ROCK MOON RISING at our births.

The best ab workout I had in the 2000s was a Tenacious D concert. Of the 100s of shows I've seen in my life still a top 10 for me.

So... I just watched Episode 5 Season 5 of Northern Exposure... or well was listening to it while working on slides. I've got a monitor switch, and I hear this voice and I'm like that was 1997... That can't be... but it sounds like him... and I'm scrambling to switch to the screen so can look - and sure enough

Seems like he was all over the place in the early to mid 90s getting established.
