Plep, how do you find such wonderful treasures? I'd like to call attention to the great musical clips - delightful, happy stuff that is starting my day on a nice beat.

For those of you who don't know, check out plep's log, where you'll find joys like the Madagascar exhibit virtually everyday.

Oh, and [this is good].

If you're interested in Malagasy music, track down the compilation Big Red on Nascente, or any of the World Out of Time compilations by Shanachie (particularly volume 2). I especially recommend Shanachie's release Malagasy Guitar by D'Gary, one of the best guitar players alive.

And there's always my favourite Malagasy song.

Rory, thanks for the music pointers! And what fascinating reading Walking West looks like it will be - I absolutely love personal travelogues. And on first glance, your blog and all your affiliated pages look so rich and chock full o' nifty things - wow, I am so glad you added your comments...nice to make your acquaintance!
