These are awesome and in some cases, really inspiring. Thanks for the excellent links, RJ. posted by jackiemcghee at 8:35 AM on November 17, 2004
Wow. Oddly compelling, strangely fascinating. And I'm not even a font fanatic. posted by Shane at 8:58 AM on November 17, 2004

Great stuff, Robot Johnny. Thanks.
I was particularly intrigued by this image. Up to now I had no idea someone had actually made a marketable game out of "Flinch" - the one where you hold your hands out and the other person fakes smacking them until you flinch and they get a free smack.
What? What else could it be? posted by soyjoy at 9:33 AM on November 17, 2004
Because the more than 10,000 linked pictures (including the exhaustive and exhausting Typemuseum) apparently weren't enough, I googled up a few more.
Can someone explain why these are so beautiful and moving?

As a man employed with fonts, it's intriguing to see a community reaction to typography.
'cept now i want to see someone actually make some of those into fonts. that's sort of what i was expecting... fonts created from found type. guess i was a little disappointed to see just the type itself... but good stuff. posted by caution live frogs at 5:45 AM on November 19, 2004
