Fun post. But I gotta say:

WTF - handheld slide-viewers are vintage already? I have one (admittedly a newer model than shown) that I used as part of an ongoing freelance cartooning gig as recently as this century. If the gig hadn't ended, I probably would still be using it this very day, as it was the best solution for the situation.

It seems like the turnaround time for nostalgia keeps getting shorter and shorter, no?
