Go publicity-grubbing (almost prophetically insightful) dot-com! posted by silusGROK at 3:14 PM on October 24, 2000
Interesting that Reuters doesn't bother to mention who the company is, but rather identifies them as "an ad agency". posted by pnevares at 4:07 PM on October 24, 2000
Actually it's a jobsite-- I saw the URL on tv last night, but can't remember exactly-- i think it might be 123jobs.com posted by s10pen at 4:14 PM on October 24, 2000
That's got to be one of the most clever ad gimmicks I've ever seen. Very well done, I say. posted by hijinx at 4:45 PM on October 24, 2000
I feel so abused... it reminds me of supergreg and rubberburner curry. It's amusing until you realize that you are being manipulated by a company. Although I must say I enjoy candidate Bob Fremgen's web site and television spot, probably because the delivery of the true advertiser is so quick.
Kind of ironic though: I'm willing to laugh at others, until I realize they are part of a clever ad campaign, and I'm really the one whose intelligence is being insulted. posted by kidsplateusa at 5:09 PM on October 24, 2000
