Yes, Mr. Levitated -- Jared Tarbell, whom I've worked with on several different projects -- is one of the few honest-to-goodness geniuses I know.

Check out his Complexification site, as well for more action. He's responsible for the Buddhabrot link that got heavy blogosphere rotation a while back.

Its amazing what a simple algorithm and recursive loops can create. The mathematician in me is always amazed at such complexity generated by simple rules.
