2006 World Cup Tickets went on sale last night at midnight, and since then over 500,000 tickets have been ordered. Orders have come in from over 108 countries from people looking for their chance to see the premier competition of the most popular sport on the planet.
Everyone will get a fair shot at the tickets with any orders between now and the end of March being put into a lottery to see who gets tickets.
Thanks for the heads up!
I have to make a note not to visit Bavaria during World Cup play. I have to believe it would dwarf the sucktitude of Oktoberfest crowds.

Don't forget you have to have a Mastercard before you even apply for tickets. A piece of marketing which may well backfire badly.

In Germany were many discussions about the RFID chips (RFID = Radio Frequency IDentification) in the tickets and the personal profiles which can be created with the questionnaires. The data will be accessible to all the sponsors and the countries which participate the World Cup. Even if you don't get a ticket, your data will be collected.

Whoa. That should have been the hook for the MeFi post. This world is getting less and less livable.

I hardly can't wait for the drunken hordes to storm into Germany. Munich (my hometown) is host of the opening game. I think I will go on vacation during that time.
