Word Pads: A strangely addicting word finding game. Hop to it.
I don't know, it loads for me for a second and then just throws a server error. Surely we could not have broken it THIS quickly...

I think we killed it. Sorry about that, but I must admit I had some fun with it this morning before the rest of you killed it.

Right, we killed it, not you by posting to it.
I accept full responsability for the errors which may have been commited by everybody else except me.

OK, I killed it.
There are things that one refrains from posting because they so obviously will go down once the crowd rushes in, but this did not look like that to me.
I killed it.
I repent.
[too bad because I was starting to get upwards of twenty words in a row before I reloaded it and pfffft. if you concentrate I am sure you can go far beyond twenty words]

Why do I almost never see a question without it begin prefixed by "Am I the only person who" ?

Am I the only person who thinks it should be "addictive"?
If it worked, that is.

w-gp: Get with the pogrom. The correct question is "Am I the only person who finds this strangely addictive?"

ZenMaster: "Strangely" only applies when it's "addicting".

I thought 'Get with the pogrom' was a fairly clever pun. You may find onelook useful for discovering word meanings and origins.

It eventually loaded, but I didn't find it particularily worth the wait. It often left me with no vowels at all to work with. Similar to, but less entertaining than, Bookworm, I guess.

This thread was worth it if only for the comments "I managed to find two words" and "My best score:404". Good stuff. Thanks for the Friday laugh.

That seems to happen when the game has not fully loaded. Try hitting reload, although that will probably just kill the site again.

Okay, but hard to take seriously a word game where "proper" is spelled wrong in the instructions (propper).
