I heart Jim Anchower.
Note that the employment application lists his reason for leaving 2 previous jobs as: "Boss was chick." posted by selfmedicating at 11:04 AM on October 13, 2005
Actually, I think that was "boss was dick." posted by luriete at 11:13 AM on October 13, 2005
Yeah, Jim's a standup dude and all, but "I Guess I Got a Girlfriend" didn't make me laugh or even crack a smile. Dude, WTF? Now the classic Jim, like I Customized My Wheels, now that I can get behind. The Anch Man needs to maybe cool it on the maryjane, know what I'm sayin' to ya? posted by scratch at 11:23 AM on October 13, 2005
They couldn't have come up with a better URL for that. Maybe. posted by zsazsa at 11:35 AM on October 13, 2005
A friend of mine and I used to picture Jim Anchower having a pimped-out Pentium 90 computer. Now, he does appear to still own a super Nintendo, but he doesn't mention whether he's customized it or not.
But the Jean Teasdale page-- that is a thing of beauty. In comparison, the Jim Anchower page comes across as "let's get a web designer to make a funny page about one of the columnists." posted by deanc at 11:43 AM on October 13, 2005

They've all had web pages available via the premium web access. They just nuked the premium web service so now they're all public.
OMFG, listen to the midi on Jean's employment page! posted by GriffX at 12:08 PM on October 13, 2005

This format is so going on my next resume. posted by tristeza at 12:19 PM on October 13, 2005
Weird. I just browsed this on an odd jaunt to The Onion. Thought it had been up for a while. Considering Wes's last entry was Jun 6th. posted by mnology at 12:20 PM on October 13, 2005
This squealing Jeanketeer is thrilled to finally find her home page. Too bad she hasn't added her adventures at Fashion Bug to her resume yet.
In "Paging Mr. Stork!" (November 1992), I said I was expecting a baby. In truth, I was not expecting a baby.
Ahh Jean, will she ever win? posted by drezdn at 12:48 PM on October 13, 2005
I tried this number-guessing stunt from the links page. It worked 6 times in a row. Anybody cares to explain how it works? posted by jchgf at 1:05 PM on October 13, 2005
I saw Jean's and Jim's homepages when the FPP on the Onion's new format was posted a few weeks back. They are indeed hilarious. I can't even pick a favourite thing from Jean's page. The resume, the corrections, the want list, the fan fiction... it's all insanely great. Jim I read but don't like as much. I did like the latest column about him getting a girlfriend and hope Debbie sticks around. My favourite thing from his web page is Wes's corner - the guy's just such a sweetie. posted by orange swan at 6:02 PM on October 13, 2005
