Wow. I remember buying the Giant 40th Anniversary Issue of Amazing and thinking that 40 years was a long, long time. Now it's been almost that long since then...

Not quite sure why you highlighted Amazing, which doesn't have much beyond longevity to recommend it—the Holy Trinity of Astounding/Analog, F&SF, and Galaxy would have enticed me in more quickly. But never mind, I was just as happy once I got there.
