I went to Waffle House this morning and didn't even know this. My waffles were not free. >:( posted by chiababe at 9:30 AM on March 25, 2006
Drunken --- I'm glad I did something good for today!
It was cheddar cheese -- she was very particular about that. (I'm not sure if she melted the cheese though.) posted by narebuc at 9:31 AM on March 25, 2006

In a fit of cruel irony, my campus DC has no doubt hid their waffle makers, as they always seem to do on weekends. (Bastards. What's better than a waffle on the weekend? Nothing I tell you, nothing.) posted by kosher_jenny at 3:08 PM on March 25, 2006
I just happened to be out at a diner with my wife and some friends this afternoon, and I was telling them how bummed I was that I had to miss National Pancake Day due to stomach issues. I decided on a whim to order a big 'ol Belgian Waffle with strawberries, ice cream, and a ton of whipped cream, which I devoured with much gusto. Six hours later, I read that today was Waffle Day. Weird. But delicious. So when's French Toast Day?
Oh. It's Nov. 28. Just one day after National Bavarian Cream Pie Day. We sure live in one happy, fat-ass country. posted by ericbop at 8:29 PM on March 25, 2006
