Uhmm, linking to a video that already has 1.5 million views can hardly be construed as 'news', can it? Seems a bit superfluous... Seems as if we're 3 months late on this meme!

Your letter opener would make a lovely stew. And it's late for a very important date.

quin: how did your rabbit end up with a goitre like that?? I think you need to put some iodine in the parsley.

A1kBH, Her dewlap is indeed mighty, but it's got nothing on this bunny.
Actually female rabbits frequently get large dewlaps like these. Hers was actually considerably bigger than it is now till she got sick and and had to be hydrated for a couple of days. (She lost about a third of her body weight in a day.) Her giant dewlap actually might have been one of the things that saved her, as it provided a small buffer of extra fluid in her system while we were getting her to the vet.
She's all better now.

So it's a bit like a camel's hump? Okay, that's much better than a goitre. Right now I'm imagining a group of rabbits at an oasis, stocking up their dewlaps before a trek across the desert.

That clip of Rebecca was one of the saddest thing I've seen in awhile.
I hope that thirty years from now, she doesn't look back on her life and see that as the highlight.

At the bottom of the related videos to quin's parsley eating bunny is "snake eating". Evil youtube.

Thanks leftcoastbob, she's a sweetie. Normally I'm not much of a rabbit person, but she changed my mind.

Quin, your bunny rocks.
I actually was bitten by a (very neurotic) rabbit once, and seeing how the letter-opener rabbit did his trick explains why it hurt the way it did.

It's like watching a miniaturized tree shredder.

quin's wife here, just a quick correction. The dewlap on bunnies is more for the purpose of nesting than a reservoir. They pull hair out of their dewlap, to make a nest. It also just happens to be filled with fat which acts as a reserve in times of trouble. Their exclusive to girl rabbits (except overweight boys) and many bunny people compare them to breasts in terms of attractiveness - no, not in a creepy furries kind of way, but a "ooh, all the bucks must lust over Thumper with her large dewlap." (even though, as far as I'm aware, there is in sexual selection based on the dewlap) or oooh, Flopsy is a Double-D.
Large dewlaps can be a sign of being overweight, but Nugs has been okay'd by the vet as not being overweight. It also seems to just vary based on the breed and the individual rabbit.
Anyway, Nugget's dewlap is mighty!

I... Is that...?
I...I think I might have to construe that as rabbit porn.

Flopsy is a Double-D.
Well, yeah -- that's why she's flopsy!
I love bunnies. When my evil ex bailed he dumped his on me and she was a sweetie -- she used to headbutt my dachshund off the couch!
