Awesome. But just between a Klingon musical version of Das Kapital and a hypothetical James T. Kirk Foundation for the Redshirt Orphans levels of awesome, though. posted by Iosephus at 9:06 AM on May 3, 2007
Well at least now I can finally understand what the hell that Tribbles episode is all about. Hopefully somebody'll do this for say, Mulholland Drive, or Solaris. posted by Flashman at 9:15 AM on May 3, 2007 [3 favorites has favorites]
I like how Spock doesn't speak in lolcats. Must be that green icewater Vulcans use for blood. posted by DU at 9:21 AM on May 3, 2007 [2 favorites has favorites]

Agreeing with triolus about the lots of trek and not much lol. But it's a fun idea and can't wait for other, funnier versions of life in LolKitteh. posted by nickyskye at 10:02 AM on May 3, 2007

It was funny when it was new and unexpected and unique. These derivative works pack less of a punch, more so as they profilerate. If this meme were a celebrity its agent would be screaming for it to take a vacation or break in order to reduce the risk of overexposure and subsequent public backlash... posted by bhouston at 1:21 PM on May 3, 2007

It's like any of those bullshit YouTube memes, like the re-editing of the film trailers to make the movies seem to be about something other than they were. The first one is kind of trashy and cheap, but inspires someone else to do a slightly better version. And by the time the third or fourth generations come around, it's already old, tired and lame.

I'm waiting for someone to create an automatic meme-generator/mash-up-maker that creates new funny things then posts them automatically all around the InTarTubes. Then we can finally just say we're jaded to everything and get back to not caring so damned much about whether or not things have jumped the shark. posted by jiawen at 1:50 PM on May 3, 2007

Ambrosia -- I adore you and want to have your children. That is priceless. And horrible. And priceless. Your LOLOCAUST image is a exercise in the beauty of perpetual motion, forever hovering directly above the shark. If only we could harness the energy it generates there, forever spinning in a Schroedinger's-cat-like impossibility of jumping, we could end the oil crisis. posted by tzikeh at 4:27 PM on May 3, 2007 [2 favorites has favorites]
