It looks like Dan Savage is in a bit of trouble

It looks like Dan Savage is in a bit of trouble for that stunt he pulled and wrote about for salon. He volunteered for Gary Bauer's campaign in Iowa before their caucuses and attmpted to infect the candidate and his staff with the flu he was suffering from. Now he may be charged with voter fraud and assault. Also see salon's reader's reactions. So was Dan just kidding in the article or did he really lick doorknobs? Think he's going to get in serious trouble?

Whoops.

I have to say that it wasn't a particularly smart thing to do. Politicians aren't known for having particularly good senses of humor when it comes to their campaigns, and when you add the fact that it was an evil homosexual spreading his deadly germs through the raging homophobe's campaign headquarters, well...

On the other hand - what lovely, well balanced reporting on the part of the NY Post. My favorite bit was when they referred to "Savage's snot-smeared undercover account of working for Bauer". Pure gold!

Heh, sounds like a prank that went wrong. You couldn't expect the Bauer campaign to take this lightly, especially since the columnist is an "enemy" to the Bauer campaign's beliefs. It will be funny to see if Salon gets slapped with the civil suit, if they're actually liable for what their reporter does.

Yeah, well Joe, the NY Post always has been known for it's unbiased reporting...

I know what Dan Savage did was wrong and immature and counter productive. But boy do I hope it worked.

I, literally, wish Gary Bauer ill.
