MATSYS Based on the idea that architecture can be understood as a material body with its own intrinsic and extrinsic forces relating to form, growth, and behavior, the studio investigates methodologies of performative integration through geometric and material differentiation.

The dance that goes along with those images is pretty nice too, but yeah, I kinda prefer the stills. I think this stuff is pretty impressive too, but I hoped that people would crawl through on their own.

I was trying to figure out why this sounded so familiar, and I realized it's because we share a ton of the same interests - I keep coming across their site through various means.

They turned me on to Tragsysteme/Structure Systems by Heino Engel, and it changed my life :)

(and they also like tessellations, so they're definitely good people. But I'm myopic like that.)

The P_Wall is great, and surprisingly simple to make: just plaster, dowels, and fabric. No CNC machines or equivalent are required.
