If the media wanted to kill Obama's candidacy, they could publish a shot of him smoking.
They could also publish any photo of McCain taken from the side. posted by DU at 4:53 PM on February 21, 2008

They are saving them. By the end of the race, you are going to think he is the new Marlboro man. posted by Mr_Zero at 4:59 PM on February 21, 2008 [1 favorite has favorites]

John McCain can trump any and all unflattering portraits with this one right here.
"Oh, look. A photo of me squinting all funny like. Freakin' hilarious. Here, I've carry this little snapshot in my wallet. It's me at the Hanoi Hilton. I'm the one with the two broken legs. Fucker." posted by Cool Papa Bell at 5:09 PM on February 21, 2008 [1 favorite has favorites]
Most of them are just bad photographs: weird angles, improper exposures, weird shutter timing, etc. But those Clinton ones? A surprised eyebrow raise, I can understand. A moment of ecstasy, sure. But what / the / fuck? Is there any reason for anyone's face to do that? posted by Sys Rq at 5:18 PM on February 21, 2008 [1 favorite has favorites]
Fun topic, but these links sent me into pop-up hell. Flagged. posted by nax at 5:35 PM on February 21, 2008
Clearly, "fired up and ready to go!" is not just lip service to Senator Clinton. She puts her money where her mouth is. I'm sorry posted by naju at 6:16 PM on February 21, 2008
I have a my.yahoo page for news headlines and comics and stuff, and I've got a column "Most Emailed Photos" and "Most Popular Photos" or whatever, and unflattering images of Hillary keep showing up on them. I wonder who spreads these things around and why!?! posted by porpoise at 7:49 PM on February 21, 2008
In almost any random photo of Mitt Romney, he looks like a guy wearing a Mitt Romney mask. For a couple of months there I thought they were filming a sequel to Point Break. posted by dhartung at 8:29 PM on February 21, 2008 [1 favorite has favorites]
Yes, yes; presidential candidates are old, and old faces are deteriorating in unflattering ways.
If they were 7 years old making the same faces it would be titled 'cutest photos from the campaign trail'. posted by dgaicun at 12:16 AM on February 22, 2008
...uh, not that I want to marry someone who is less than zero years old. For the record. Future-oriented envy? posted by dgaicun at 12:27 AM on February 22, 2008
