I got hooked on the genre of escape-the-room games back when someone posted The Crimson Room at 3WA (discussed previously at Mefi), and they all have different charms... but I'll say this: I thought that "Vision" was hands-down the best I've ever played.
Better even than Samorost -- which is almost outside the genre, it's so good. posted by pineapple at 7:52 AM on March 27, 2008
samorost is a really good game, yeah. I'd never heard of neutral games, but I really dig escape flash games. thanks for the link, I'm gonna try out vision now. posted by shmegegge at 8:33 AM on March 27, 2008

wow, that vision one was great. posted by shmegegge at 9:54 AM on March 27, 2008
I'd just like to point out that I normally hate, hate, hate those confounded escape-from-the-room games for their arbitrarily illogical puzzles, but the Vision one is actually pretty awesome. posted by neckro23 at 10:34 AM on March 27, 2008
neckro23, that was one of the things I liked best too. None of the annoying, arbitrary pixel-hunting. posted by pineapple at 10:44 AM on March 27, 2008
I too normally don't like these things, but in Vision the creator never requires trial-and-error and has minimized its effectiveness, and everything is tied together so well in such a small space, and there's nothing that feels like it should work but doesn't, and I love it and want to have its intellectual babies.
Wow, unSane. Most of us have experienced that same "sucked into an escape-room for a couple hours," but here and there over the course of years. You managed to mash it all into one day. Well done! posted by pineapple at 7:55 PM on March 27, 2008
