FamilyTales started out as an online archive of letters from a few families but has since expanded to contain letters from many historic figures.

I love primary sources. Some highlights include: letters from John Brown awaiting execution, a woman's eyewitness account of the Great San Francisco Earthquake, and Daniel Endsley's Vietnam Journal letters.

ozomatli, thanks for the post. I enjoy first person accounts, too - I will enjoy poking around here!

I've had great fun poking around in there too. I did the whole civil war through Sherman's letters last night.
