The end of Rice-Boy

The end of Rice-Boy. T.O.E, Angel Eye, Calbash (alas we hardly knew ye) and Rice-Boy have ended their adventure. 2 years 1 month and two weeks after the start. Evan Dahm produced one of the most engaging and beautiful webcomics over the past two years and it has concluded. A moment of silence......... Ok now, the good news. Rice-Boy is done, but further Overside stories are likely. YAY.

Yes, I know the link to the site is technically a double. I thought it was worth mentioning the end of the event. I promise I will not complain if this is deleted, but I hope it merits enough "newness" in it's ending that this post remains.

Rice-boy is one of my favorite comics. I did not see that ending coming. Read it from the beginning if you're new to it! I can't wait for more stories.

Yeah, I was a little stunned by the end as well. I need to re-read over the whole series now.

Second the sheer level of beauty in it. What a fantastic, in all senses of the word, read.

I clicked the link and thought "hmm, I'll just have a look at one or two"

I'm on the second chapter and I won't stop until I'm done.

(Unless it's really long)

Not only did I not see the ending coming, but I didn't get it. Someone want to decode it for me?

And I can thank Metafilter for turning me onto this comic. I've been addicted to it since. Bravo, Evn!!

I love love love this comic, and also did not see the end coming. I need to take some time and then reread the whole thing from the beginning.

I just went through all of it (and I did it quickly, so I'm definitely sure I didn't do it total justice).

Very, very enjoyable, and imaginative. Also stunning. Looking forward to any new tales.

I'm kind of sad that it's done...it was one of my favorite webcomics...

So beautiful and riveting.

Wow, that's great stuff! Thanks for turning me on to it, edgeways!

@SmartDalek: Might want to explain that one needs to use ROT-13 to decode it....

The guy that does Minus linked to this once. I've read it religiously since. It now joins the ranks of Epic Finished Webcomics I Have Loved (see also One Over Zero and Unicorn Jelly).

I thought this update was taking a long time, but I wasn't prepared for it to be the last one ever.

Man.
