WTF's an apple? You mean the fruit? Why would a Windows user feel left out? I can get all the apples I want! posted by ZachsMind at 7:07 PM on June 24, 2008
Well, it was a nice idea, anyway. But a word to the wise: if you're on Windows XP, you'll need to have .NET installed or else you're totally screwed! (See their forums page) posted by Seekerofsplendor at 7:32 PM on June 24, 2008
for all the Windows users feeling left out

This is really nice. It'll be my screensaver for a while for sure.
Installing .NET takes like 30 seconds if for some reason you didn't already have it posted by stvspl at 8:13 PM on June 24, 2008
That was mildly disappointing. I was expecting the zoom effect and fade transitions of Apple fame, and what I got was a screensaver worthy of Windows 95. posted by FissionChips at 8:54 PM on June 24, 2008
ahhh. worst use of the word scarce.
i must be really bored to read this thread. i have a mac and don't use this screensaver. posted by snofoam at 9:03 PM on June 24, 2008
This is madness. Unless overlappingelvis is sitting behind me in Auckland, the same series of events (Windows user seeing MacBook user's album art screensaver, then locating windows version) took place in parallel universes at almost the same time. posted by pivotal at 9:09 PM on June 24, 2008
Wow, that's amazing, but it only wants to show me the seminal album "No Artwork Found" posted by mattoxic at 4:55 AM on June 25, 2008
All snark aside, tracking down random itunes cover art to dump into the screensaver has become something of an obsession.
Yes, I need to get out more. A lot more. posted by jalexei at 6:33 AM on June 25, 2008
"No Artwork Found"
Man that would be an awesome name for an album. posted by stupidsexyFlanders at 7:00 AM on June 25, 2008
Stupidsexyflanders and mattoxic, HardFi released their second album with this cover, in some attempt to be ironic. From wikipedia :"The album cover of Once Upon A Time In The West has a plain yellow background with the album title at the top, and NO COVER ART written in large, white letters below. The artwork has received mixed criticism, mostly bad and has been slated as one of the worst of all time,[25][26] however, top cover art designer Peter Saville has described it as "a 'White Album' for the digital culture."[27][28] '
