is there any way to download these images at full resolution?

This is much more beautiful to me than the high-res city images, not least in the paradoxically heightened sense of voyeurism. In the city, people with high-rise apartments expect someone to be staring back from a window across the street, but the guy taking a nap outside of his tent believes himself in solitude.

See any climbers on El Cap?

Enhance 224 to 176. Enhance, stop. Move in, stop. Pull out, track right, stop. Center in, pull back. Stop. Track 45 right. Stop. Center and stop. Enhance 34 to 36. Pan right and pull back. Stop. Enhance 34 to 46. Pull back. Wait a minute, go right, stop. Enhance 57 to 19. Track 45 left. Stop. Enhance 15 to 23. Give me a hard copy right there.

We're THIS CLOSE.

We're THIS CLOSE.

I think there are a few CSI writers who would have us zoom in to show a climber on El Capitan, close further to show his yellow hat - and then further still to show that it was made from wool that comes from the same rare subspecies of yak that were bred by the go-go dancer's Nepalese manager...

Has anyone posted the Yosemite Extreme Pano Imaging Project yet? It's 45GP. Requires Silverlight to run, but it's really awesome. Click/drag to pan, scroll wheel to zoom. You can see individual hikers and stuff, it's crazy. (more info)

Checking out the people climbing the falls. Takes me back 12 years to when I went there. Awesome.

This is amazing, but duckless. I went straight for Mirror Lake, but couldn't see any quackers. Gotta go in person for the ducklings, bears, dorky signage, etc.

So, am I the only one who feels like a supervillian when zooming in on people in tents from thousands of miles away?

It feels kinda good, actually. Maybe I should get a cat.
