Wow, CJP -- that Gamefaqs "review" of Donkey Kong sounds like a 13-year-old's idea of paleontology. posted by gurple at 1:23 PM on February 20, 2009 [2 favorites]
Playerman is immensely pleased. posted by shmegegge at 1:24 PM on February 20, 2009
Much more difficult than I had imagined. It is difficult to move consistently in the air or I just really suck at platform jumpers. posted by schyler523 at 1:25 PM on February 20, 2009
Let down twice. Was expecting some form of the unforgettable Jumpman. (On preview: Bummus beat me to it.) Then "PC download" turned out to really mean "Windows download." Feh. posted by /\/\/\/ at 1:40 PM on February 20, 2009
That makes three of us. somebody, somewhere (...smarter than me about such things...) has got to make a flash recreation of the C64 jumpman.
...apologies if its out there and I just haven't found it yet posted by srw12 at 1:51 PM on February 20, 2009
Hey, I liked it. But then again, I had way too much fun squishing guys with the super ball. And it worked fine on my mac. posted by Hactar at 1:53 PM on February 20, 2009
Wow, CJP's linked Donkey Kong review is wonderfully bad. posted by everichon at 1:56 PM on February 20, 2009
That makes three of us.
Four. The OP's linked game looks fun, but it's not Jumpman.
Also, everybody ready my new book, "Hamlet". posted by GuyZero at 2:00 PM on February 20, 2009 [3 favorites]
I didn't think this needed it's own fpp but i just spent like 20 minutes playing Idontevenknow which is probably 19 minutes longer than anyone should ever haha. posted by Potomac Avenue at 2:00 PM on February 20, 2009 [3 favorites]
Wow, that's excellent. Keep playing, guys, it gets better and better. posted by Magnakai at 2:28 PM on February 20, 2009

Awesome idea, looks cool, totally impossible to control. Still played through most of it. Grumble grumble. posted by The Devil Tesla at 2:22 PM on February 21, 2009
I thought I was the only one yearning for good ole Jumpman. How can it be so difficult to find recreations of classic games?? posted by raider at 6:01 PM on February 21, 2009
That Idontevenknow link gets me a blank Flash applet. When I click on it, it takes me to mtv.com. I am confused. posted by LogicalDash at 8:02 PM on February 21, 2009
I also was hoping to find Epyx Jumpman. The originality that went into that game was amazing, nearly every level had a unique hazard.
It seems it might be available for the Virtual Console in Europe. Curse you Nintendo and your idiotic region locking! posted by JHarris at 8:54 PM on February 21, 2009
The kaleidoscopic levels are really trippy and confusing. The game got too frustrating though. TOO SLIDEY. posted by tehloki at 1:19 AM on February 22, 2009
