I got through Meat Circus by grit and determination. You kids have it easy.

Well, gee. All I get is a black box with "Do you have a sound card installed Y/N" running across it. Of course, it doesn't accept any input from either mouse or keyboard.

Sound card? I'm guessing this needs a "Windows Only" tag.

Bah. Never mind. Guess I didn't get the joke.

This is silly. I'm enjoying it. (I hit N at the sound card page and it seems to work fine for me.)

Free game: Psychonauts (for Windows)

Abandonware (multiplatform, use SCUMMVM):
Monkey Island 1 and 2
Day of the Tentacle

Also I think Psychonauts only works on 32-bit Windows.

Also those are Tim Schafer games hence the relevance.

And how could we forget the amazing Grim Fandango? (Sadly, not free.)

That's just to scare you, you big sissy ;)
Some of the objects count for more than 1 joke.

Yeah, you get 5 jokes at a time and then 10 jokes at a time for completing two of the puzzles.

This was great. Thanks!

I started playing this, then realized I need to go home to finish it! AHHH! No save button! So, I guess I start again once I leave my office hours!

I only have 11 jokes! And when I went looking for hints, I found a blog post that said "well worth the 10-20 minutes it takes you to finish." Sheesh.

Use the key in the cigar box.

Now that I think about it, you both must have done that already. ok, put the cut cloth in the sink, turn it on and use the remote.

Meat Circus wasn't so bad, not after climbing that damned tower.

Psychonauts derail: I'm playing through it again actually, this time with an Xbox 360 controller (which really helps!). God, I love that game. (It's free on GameTap, sure, but for those who hate GameTap as much as I do, it's also available on Steam for practically free.)

I should also warn potential Psychonauts players that the first few levels of the game suck. Well, I mean, they're okay (except that awful raver level), but it's not until you get to Lungfishopolis and beyond that the game starts getting really twisted/hilarious/awesome.

(I hate adventure games, so no comment on the FPP. Heh.)

Oh wow, I thoroughly enjoyed that! It brought tears of joy and nostalgia to my eyes. (I didn't even have to pixel-hunt, my cursor fell upon the eye quite accidentally!) It also reminds me that I loved those old LucasArts games for the humor, most of all.

Dear Tim and Doublefine, please make more. xoxo

BONUS: Try the verb "turn on" + any object in the room (or any verb with any object, for that matter) and see all the unique responses. Hours of fun!
