On the plus side, this effectively killed the 80s nostalgia trip that the Toto post started me on. posted by Slothrup at 3:14 PM on June 6, 2009
I watched the first 30 seconds a second time, just to confirm it was really as bad as it seemed the first time I watched the first 30 seconds. posted by davejay at 3:22 PM on June 6, 2009 [1 favorite]
As a devotee of internet cooking advice, I was supremely disappointed by this instructional video. While the video did give some tips about where to acquire the meat, I felt that significant details of the preparation were omitted. Perhaps a helpful sidebar with information about spices and cooking times would improve this (obviously novice) video recipe. posted by twoleftfeet at 3:28 PM on June 6, 2009 [1 favorite]

It's like Electric Six chose to take off glam instead of disco. Is it bad that I quite like this? Full disclosure: I just got back from seeing a band called Screaming Tea Party. I am maybe not in the right frame of mind for objective comment. posted by permafrost at 3:52 PM on June 6, 2009

The um'ing and erm'ing is annoying... If someone's going to be this opaque about what they're posting I'd hope they'd link to something more interesting than a three year old shit music video. posted by Glarg at 4:03 PM on June 6, 2009 [1 favorite]
I believe this is what happened to a friend of mine. She was in Cats back in the 80's, then fell in with a bad crowd. posted by dirtynumbangelboy at 4:13 PM on June 6, 2009 [2 favorites]

Thanks, but my curiosity with musical possibilities of zebras and fursuits in winter forests were already sated. It is a combination that will keep on giving, though. posted by Free word order! at 4:57 PM on June 6, 2009

Good point Glarg this really should have been a link to Tuff It Out, which is about a billion times better/worse and has more stunts.

Oh god. If only I'd known to hunt a bit more: This is the gift that keeps on giving.... The initial video made me think of some art students with too much time, but I'm starting to think that these people are complete and utter genius in a nut shell.

Ouch!
Yeah, I also had a few moments of "this must be internet performance art", but it seems the band Hard Place has a myspace account with show flyers and the all the works. Check out their photo section if you really don't want to sleep tonight. posted by stagewhisper at 9:43 PM on June 6, 2009
That first video and "Pink Champagne". Too brilliant. Too retarded. I'm inexplicably excited by this band and I guess what I really want to know is what kind of drugs cause this sort of entertaining confabulation of cheesy music, drag fashion and bad art damage cos like, I could use some of that shit... posted by Skygazer at 11:48 PM on June 6, 2009
