The molecular switch will be particularly useful, since the only reliable state change is from ON to OFF. Kind of like PCs, really.

Actually, to dong_resin's point, it's "On", "Off" and that peculiar state of suspension we call "Hang"...

I'm actually concerned that we've reached the physical limitations of computing power so quickly. I used to scoff at such things, but now I wonder if Vinge's singularity isn't something like our only hope.
