The Pekar Project started a couple of months ago from Smith Magazine; it posts new webcomics every other week by Harvey Pekar and one of four artists, like "Pekar and Crumb: Talkin' 'bout Art, plus occasional extras. They just posted a tribute to Harvey's 70th birthday. [Smith Mag's webcomics previously, including Pekar's The Next-Door Neighbor I Don't Know] [via]

The couple I had time to read right now were cool. Thanks, I hadn't thought about Harvey Pekar for awhile.

I sort of bumped into Mr. Pekar at a book shop the other day. I didn't know he was still working. I'll definitely check this out.

That tribute is fairly awesome. Most of the artists I hadn't heard of, but even the ones that I had (Alison Bechdel, Jeffrey Brown, etc.), I didn't recognize their work until I'd moused over the thumbnail for the tooltip, and then it seemed obvious. Rick Veitch's Pekar-as-Darkseid is just awesome.
