This is such a good antidote to all the despair in the world right now.
That is why I spend a lot of time on the internet looking at cute pictures and videos of animals. I can seriously spend all night in a Youtube k-hole looking at kitten videos. posted by MaryDellamorte at 9:22 PM on January 18, 2010 [3 favorites]
I could really use this, so YAY! I really missed when the cam went offline last time and left us with only canned footage. posted by cmgonzalez at 9:24 PM on January 18, 2010

Cam is offline and I don't know what all the fuss is about. Even the "before" link is the same thing, so I'm guessing I missed some awesomeness. Yay puppies I suppose. posted by hypersloth at 11:38 PM on January 18, 2010
Are these puppies scientifically bred to help colonize other planets with humans in the name of Earth?
ok i'm out until i get answoofs. posted by hypersloth at 11:53 PM on January 18, 2010
okay I finally looked into it, and I'm still yawning. I guess it was cool as it happened, but really, dogs fuck a lot. So do all other animals whose names begin with a letter, but they don't get webcams.
Puppies are always cute though.

That dog just churns 'em out, don't she? And just to stay in the Internet spotlight.
I'm OK with that. posted by spamguy at 8:45 AM on January 19, 2010

I think Shiba Inu (adults and puppies) are adorable. At the same time, the adults are crazy little bastards.
They're hard to raise and socialize. They're very smart and strong-willed, and they have that crazily indomitable spirit that a lot of small and small-ish dogs have.
Our Akita Inu breeder also bred Shiba Inu, so I got a lot of exposure to her dogs as well as having met a few other Shiba Inu in my time.
I do like the breed in general, though I think they'd be too high maintenance for my household. posted by kalessin at 12:25 PM on January 19, 2010
