Vegas Hotel Testing Video in E-Mail Campaign that will be sent to 60,000 existing customers of The Venetian. How much spam can you digest?

I would not consider this spam, as I am sure The Venetian's customers did not give them their email in the first place, thinking they'd never receive a mailing... But what this shows is that marketers are really scrambling to get the attention of their target audience. After all traditional web and email marketing is experiencing low click through/ conversion rates and anything that's big or rich media, just must grab that customer's eyeballs. It is doubtful that those attempts will be fruitfull in the long run, as consumers will get saturated (unless of course you talk about the Bonzi's or Colonize's infamous "Message waiting" banners, but I digress). Even beloved X10's effectiveness was quite countereffective, but mefiers knew that all along.
