I live in this building from the thirties that used to have an elevator but now it doesn't, because it's old and unsafe. It's one of those old-timey ones with a swing-out door and metal fence thing. It would be positively awesome if I could ride on it but I can't. I think one of these days I'm going to sneak into it (and take a picture and leave I guess?) if I can figure out which floor the cab is on and get a security torx bit to get past the little thing they're using to block up the doors.

Anyhow, that's all I can think of to say about elevators.

Man, I used to work in a downtown highrise and had clients on several floors. I calculated that most days I would ride the elevators at least a half-mile. The appeal to just get in these things for the sake of it seems a bit batty to me. Also, with every ride, his chances increase that he'll be seeing Richter at the party.

Wow, I was looking at this YouTube channel recently of a guy in my town, Roanoke, VA, that video tapes himself on elevators. His Dover Hydraulic Elevator JC Penney Tanglewood Mall Roanoke Virginia video has 109,514 views.

What is going on here?
