A good dose of cuddly animals. Put down your ad-hominems, and take a look at the new Weezer video directed by the guy that recently employed our favorite hot-dog eater. It's got kittens. WMPlayer or RealPlayer

Almost as much fun as the Sigur Ros video featuring only Downs Syndrome kids dancing around. Unfortunately only the real media link works and its kind of fuzzy.

I'm not too excited about the new version, but it did have a chimp, so that's good. I watched some of the other videos and enjoyed them quite a bit.

I saw them here in Richmond a few years back with Nerf Herder. If I recall correctly, some ass jumped up on stage and knocked over their amps, so Rivers just said goodnight and walked off... they had played most everything, but I was still disappointed. Richmond's music scene has since died, I wonder why?

Thanks for the link.

hrm, windows media link works for me. The siega version caught my eye more, but the jones version is attractive, too, albeit kind of sedated. It's a toss up for me.

Ever since that nice little Aimee Mann moved out of Richmond, we've all lost our musical stylings. Not really, I just wanted to be the third Richmonder to post in this thread. Carry on.

our favorite hot-dog eater

Walken jokes are so '99. SNL's Jay Mohr and his Walken does Skittles was the death of it. Netizens catch on years later, isn't the web amazing? I can't wait for the "Your Mamma is so..." revival. At least the kiddies are leaving Gary Coleman alone.

Tangent (but not deliberate hijack) : One of the longest running ways to this day amongst my long ago far-and-wide-scattered university pals to call me a moron is to sing :

"Ooo-eee-oo I look just like Buddy Holly
Oh-oh and your Maritime Law"

which is how I heard and sang the Weezer "you're Mary Tyler Moore" line for years until they caught me.

Any other egregious lyrical stuff-ups out there?

the past three comments have all been LOL-worthy.. i think i'll check out the video too...

BTW, did anyone else think it was the coolest thing ever when they got that supplementary CD for Windows 95 with not only Hover (groundbreaking game), but the Buddy Holly Music Video?

and now, for no reason... "we can dance... we can dance... everybody look at your pants."

Why's it worthy? Why is it worthy?! It's Weezer and baby animals, for crying out loud, what is not to like! Can anybody watch that slow-mo monkey toss montage and not smile, at least inwardly?

lotsofno: Me too! I watched that AVI about 4,986 times.

Weezer and baby animals.

Seriously, I'm not a big fan of either.

Is this where I make a comment about how delicious kittens are, and get pelted with rocks and garbage?

Yup, I guess it is.

Funny, I found it reminiscent of that mid-80s Talk Talk video with the jungle animals and parrot.
