The Saga of Biôrn: Biôrn, an old Viking, is determined to reach Valhalla, the warrior's afterlife full of excessive drinking and debauchery. To gain entry he has to die honorably in battle, but he discovers that the right death isn't so easy. SLVimeo.
That was awesome! I especially liked the frost giant's badass nunchucks.

That was pretty good, thought the ending was kind of anti-climactic. I think he could have followed through on his idea but still closed with a bit more zing.

Wonderfully done. I love the chunky style of the models - CGI seems to look its best when it's kept simple.
I also very much dig the tragi-comic ending, which surprised me by delivering quite an emotional punch. Maybe I'm just listening to too much Manowar.

I feel for Bjorn. Even worse was what happened to him after the Church of Latter Day Saints got his name.

That made me sad on a Friday, thanks a lot.
He'll find some Belgian monks with their beer. Just let him get over the shock.

Captain Stormfield had better luck (youtube). Bjorn got the reverse treatment.

I liked the revolving wheel of heavens, thought it was a nice touch. The gamer in me wants to know how much damage a thrown nun causes, and which dice you should roll.

Valhalla: Valkyries and Metal.
Heaven: Nuns and elevator music.
What went wrong?

Glad to see someone else making the Samurai Jack reference, since that was also what I thought of. But I liked this one too. Sometimes I wish there was a best of Vimeo animation podcast, because I see a lot of good animation there.
