This also talks about the same thing I suspect.

Helpful link, dude!

Try this next time: Here is some random sort-of-anti-Israel crap from 1996 I found on the web. I have no idea if it is true. Discuss.

I am a bit surprised that look Wow they do this to us. Don't we have eschelon all over the place and isn't it said also to collect industrail info rather than just military info?
does any country feel secure in Trust rather than keeping an eye on friends and foes alike?
I am totally willing to believe the story but when the U.S. does exactly the same thing it is ok?

Not only Arabs are angry at US Policies.

Hey Adnan Ali...that is a funny thing for you to say; "I do not have enough background knowledge to comment." For someone who doesn't have knowledge about a subject, you SURE post a lot of Anti-Israel propaganda. BTW, your post was from 1996. Also, it was a summary for a fee-based web-page, making it SPAM.

I do not believe in any kind of propoganda. I post what I see on the web while I research terrorism overall.

"you SURE post a lot of Anti-Israel propaganda".
This is a wrong statement. A review of my posts and comments will negate the statement in question.

Secondly, It is not spam because the link was promoting or advertising the fee-based web page.

I also provided a link to a free version of the same story.

I hope that satisfies your intrigue.

Hey Adnan Ali...

Methinks that calling adnanbwp by his full name, instead of his username, as is the custom, was an attempt to suggest he has an ulterior motive. Which is bullshit. I've read through adnanbwp's posts and I don't see anything far removed from the standard MeFi fare.

Can I assume from your profile, Oxydude, that nothing you say is worth standing by?

Well, thats not all....here are some more facts....how faithful our beloved Israelis are......Oxydude! sit tight!!!

"I've never seen a president --I don't care who he is-- stand up to them [the Israelis]. It just boggles your mind. They always get what they want. The Israelis know what's going on all the time. I got to the point where I wasn't writing anything down. If the American people understood what grip those people have on our government, they would rise up in arms. Our citizens don't have any idea what goes on." --Admiral Thomas Moorer of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. (See Washington Report 12/1999, p.124 quoting from Andrew Hurley's book, "One Nation Under Israel")
"There is definitely an anti-Arab bias in America, and I regret it" --Peter Jennings cited in Alfred Lilienthal's 1982 Zionist Connections II, p.273, citing Edmund Ghareeb, The American Media and the Palestine Problem, Journal of Palestine Studies, Autumn 1975, Winter 1976.
"The Israeli Prime Minister has a lot more influence over the foreign policy of the United States in the Middle East than he has in his own country." -- Former Congressman Paul Findley, in his book They Dare to Speak Out, p. 92.
"The Israelis control the policy in the congress and the senate ... somewhere around 80 percent of the senate of the United States is completely in support of Israel -- of anything Israel wants...." -- Chairman Senator Fullbright, 10/07/1973 on CBS' "Face the Nation".
"President Clinton behaves like an obedient child of Israel and does not know how to say `No.'" -- Nahum Barnea, Israeli writer (From Washington Report, July 1996, pg. 17)
"The Capitol Hill is an Israeli occupied territory". -- Patrick Buchanan (St. Louis Dispatch, 10/20/1990).

"I am aware how almost impossible it is in this country to carry out a foreign policy [in the Middle East] not approved by the Jews. [Former Secretary of State George] Marshall and [former Defense Secretary James] Forrestral learned that" -- Sec. of State John Foster Dulles in Feb. 1957 quoted on p.99 of Fallen Pillars by Donald Neff..

Hold on guys there's more to come......

Now we should only check on the guys you're quoting. Jennings has or had a Palestinian wife, Fullbright was a known antisemite, Buchanan is an ultra rightist flake, and I'd bet the others are similarly preoccupied with bigotry.

Jennings was the first TV person on 9/11 to appeal for tolerance for Muslim-Americans. While every one was pointing the blame finger, Jennings asked for proof and through investigation.

Well, thats not all....here are some more facts
[....]

Wow. Our close relationship with US does not enjoy 100% American support! We're a free country that allows those people to express their opinions! Some people, even some that post to Metafilter, can't tell the difference between quotes from famous people and facts! It's all news to me.

BTW your most recent dated quote was from 1990, which makes even adnanbwp's original post look timely and relevant in comparison.
