More like Mighty Sciuridae Am I Right?

A squirrel enjoys playing with a ball, to the tune of "The Mighty Mouse Theme". Strangely satisfying.

I was just about to post this in the Santorum thread underneath.

How refreshingly distinctive.™

This squirrel will not scan. He is of no use to me.

Recently I was googling 'sciurophile' and amazingly this did not show up.

....although that word is a contender for top ten surprising "google results with the phrase 'cum bucketloads' on the front page".

Funny - I was just watching this video of a Red Panda playing w/a pumpkin. Must be furry things playing w/round objects day today or something.

I cannot ever hear that tune without picturing Andy Kaufman's masterful lip-dub of same.

Now we know what Andy Kaufman's latest reincarnation is.

Cute, but what is going on with the audio?

Also, Andy Kaufman.

Seems like he's got the situation pretty well in hand there, by the end . . .

How the fuck do you not get what's going on with the audio??

That's the whole thing.

Annoying thing. And wrong.. Is it supposed to be timed for any time the squirrel is touching the ball at all? Anytime the squirrel is on top of the ball? What they did really doesn't make any sense, even at a conceptual level.

Acoustically I'm sure having the sound cut out could have worked if they'd done a more artistic interpretation instead of being all literal about it.

With a big, fat, this-is-a-fantastically-irrelevant-to-anything-that-matters smirk on my face--I respectfully disagree, sir! It is clear that the Mighty Mouse theme is present when (and only, precisely when!) the squirrel in question is touching the ball. I implore you to watch again, and this time more closely.

Good day, sir!

(Don't mind me, long-ass day)

When I had a cat a certain red squirrel would come up to the glass porch door and taunt him. When the door was open the same squirrel would stand near the edge of the balcony and wait for my cat to lunge at him. He'd then scamper off the side like greased lighting where the poor feline had no hope of following. He was trying to trick the cat into leaping to its death.

Hours of amusement. I miss that cat.

I am envious of the thought processes that allowed someone to look at a video of the squirrel playing, and somehow figure out that Mighty Mouse playing - with reception only when in contact with the ball - was exactly what the clip needed.

I mean, how does that even get onto your list of "things I could do with this clip"?!

Nice.

Well, if nothing else, it probably gets around Youtube's circumvents detection of copyrighted audio tracks.

Let's try that again.

Well, if nothing else, it probably circumvents Youtube's automatic detection of copyrighted audio tracks.
