I like the one where she's watching the rice cooker best, and then the one where she's kneeling in the scooter parking spot. The standing ones don't do that much for me, but those two are pretty awesome.

Dear Ms. RRRRRRRROLL_gif,

After careful consideration, we have decided to deny your application to become an Internet meme. We wish you the best of luck in the future. We have passed your application on to the stop motion animators for Peter Gabriel and those Skittles commercials.

Sincerely,

Rotating, mostly.

Especially the "rotating around the finger" one.

Revolving.

I guess confusing those terms is a little bit more excusable than describing rotation about a vertical axis as "rolling," though.

I dunno, I'd bet the creator of these probably could spin out some pleasant sounding bullshit about what these could mean or signify.

I like because s/he (dunno if these are self-portraits or the work of a second person) has managed to abstain from that temptation and let the art speak for itself. As it always should.

She should rotate as she revolves surely the next step in the meme evolution. Something like complete rotation for every revolution thus being a model of something astronomical. Then she needs to have a moon revolve around her as she revolves all the while performing rotations. I'm dizzy now.

Especially the "rotating around the finger" one.

Revolving.
A rotation is a circular movement of an object around a center (or point) of rotation. A three-dimensional object rotates always around an imaginary line called a rotation axis. If the axis is within the body, and passes through its center of mass the body is said to rotate upon itself, or spin. A rotation about an external point, e.g. the Earth about the Sun, is called a revolution or orbital revolution, typically when it is produced by gravity.

Emphasis mine. Is her finger external to her body?

Her turn around the finger is called synchronous rotation. Unless she is revolving while always facing a fixed external point, say on the wall, then she is both revolving and rotating. Her revolution period around the point above her finger is the same length and direction as her rotation period, which is also the case with our moon always keeping one side turned toward the earth.

Humans rotate clockwise, upside-down hats rotate counter-clockwise. But if you turn the hat over so that it can be worn, it will then be rotating in the same direction as the humans, and therefore can be safely worn.
