Woah! That's a whole new area for me, French Baroque Chicken.
It makes the whole story around Marie Antoinette's demise somewhat more understandable too.

Also make that 'arrogant poultry'. I'm gonna have nightmares, all the grilled chickens of my life coming back as these.

Ha! Turns out you get to see all the chickens if you have javascript turned on.
Oh, photographer's websites, when will you learn?

I love these! I'm wondering are these photoshopped or are the birds stuffed? Because there is no way a chicken is going to sit still with a crown on her head or hold an earring in her beak, right?

In the "not chicken" series, I found this one both repulsive and enticing at the same time.

What kind of dove is the middle bird?
That chicken is a Sebright. They are stunningly beautiful (see the picture gallery).

TedW, I came here to make the same comment. That whole forbidden fruit series is great, just weird and gross and beautiful and sensual and organic and disturbing despite being just, you know, pictures of smashed fruit with jewelery stuck in them. I love them.
Still, terrible website! I click on a picture of a chicken and it takes me to a whole different series of pictures with no explanation? And the only indication that anything has changed is some 6pt light gray on white letters and some 10x10 thumbnails changing? Seriously, wtf. You've got great pictures man, why do you have to ruin it like that? I can't even find the Forbidden Fruit series from your homepage, and I've tried! You're driving away print sales by making it impossible for people to actually get anywhere on your site! Also, why aren't you selling prints from your site? You're running a business, not an easter-egg hunt!

Thank you.

I grew up on a chicken farm and they were arrogant enough without little crowns and jewelry. They will sit still for food, though.

Chickens are beautiful birds. It's easy to overlook that when you only ever see them skinned and dismembered and shrink-wrapped at the supermarket.

So what's the message in the series shoebones where the dogs are all chewing fancy heels? What, no oxfords? No sneakers? No loafers? No flats?
And the gnomes. Gnomes are evil, and they steal things.

We need to introduce a couple of these examples to our native feral chicken populations down here. I could see an araucana/havanese cross building a real cult following.

I let Peter's brother, who's visiting him in Paris, know about this posting. He's read all your comments and appreciates them. The brothers just buried their father in Paris this past week, so it's nice to have people finding some entertainment from the works.
