Matthew Sweet is now a pop philosopher? Funny the places life takes you.

PS I'll eat my hat if this is as good as Girlfriend.

Yeah, unless he's somehow developed a British accent.

Yeah, I'm guessing it's not this guy. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Just think if it was the other Matthew Sweet. He could quote himself to begin a discussion of religion:

I cannot understand my God/I don't know why it gets to me
One day my life is filled with joy/And then we find we disagree
All depending on his/Divine Intervention

"Pop" philosopher indeed.

That's funny, I can't really say that my band ever had a philosophical problem with playing live in a pub.

Well, as long as we're all here: AV Club Interview

What a sweet guy.

Is there a way to get this as a podcast?

What?! First there are two Miles Kimballs! Now there are two Matthew Sweets? Who will be the next 'other' person unearthed on MetaFilter? For some reason, I'm banking on a 1970s sitcom star and his name double (How many Scott Baios are there and what is the 'other' Scott Baio's claim to fame???)

I didn't see a way of getting it as a podcast from the BBC site, but I could be missing something.

These were really entertaining. I love recreational philosophy. Looking forward to the next series.
