Maybe it's just because I'm old, but putting Sonic and Mario in the same thing seems like sacrilege.

Yeah, it's crossing the streams.

YES. Unless... Sega is black?

I mean, wasn't Link available?

YES. Unless... Sega is black?

I thought Sonic was Ray Stantz.

Maybe better with Donkey Kong as Ray. He's part of the "original" gang, but was never as popular as Mario or Luigi, just like how Murray and Ramis were more successful in their later careers but not Akroyd.

And Kirby's not a villain, he's the frickin' Hero of Dreamland! He's like a pink abstract version of Mario.

The first one I remember as being as pandering as a pandery panda. I wonder if this one will be any different.

... six minutes later ...

Yeah, pretty much what I expected.

Well, I liked it.

I mean, there was a reference in there to Venkman's line about "something off the request line from Liberty Island". That's obscure even by quotable Bill Murray standards.

I appreciated the detailed references. Especially the ending Star Fox one.

What were the numbers on the top of the bus in reference to?

Seems like this is my reaction to about 95% of everything, these days. Especially movies.

I liked it. The animation was appropriate, the music was pretty good, and, yeah, it pandered. OTOH, what do you expect from Super Mario Busters 2?

I wanted to hate this, but unfortunately it was surprisingly well done with lots of clever visual references for fans (and very minimal voices that were probably just clips from games).

I liked this apart from the bits that Sonic ruined just by being there.

Sonic ruins everything.

Get off my lawn, Sonic.

This is the Flashiest animation I've seen in my life. And I used to work in the Flash cartoon scene.

obiwanwasabi: "I wanted to like this, but unfortunately I'm not five.

Are you, scrowdid, menstruating right now
"

That's an unnecessarily sexist way to belittle that comment. A less sexist way would be "Are you, scrowdid, adding a point to your running tally of times you were needlessly condescending for no benefit to anyone?"

I wanted to agree with obiwanwasabi, but unfortunately I'm not five. Also, I actually know how menstruation works.

If that's what it takes to dislike this video, obiwanwasabi, I will now menstruate for you.

It was not the best choice of quotes, but "Are you, Alice, menstruating right now?" is a line from Ghostbusters, asked by Peter Venkman of a character he thinks is crazy.
