I can't even watch video at work, but I'm going to step out on a limb regardless and say this is the best thing I've ever seen. ever.

(Okay, will ever see. It will have been the best thing I have ever seen, once the seeing of it has been completed.)

I think it would go...a little something...like this...

(You have to say that before any mash ups on stage)

Also, the only thing bad about this is that there weren't enough female parts in Star Trek for Cheryl or Pam.

So we have a Star Trek/Archer mashup, but still no Archer video game. I've got an Xbox and I've got money. Make it happen. I also think it could be the first killer app for the Kinect, the Xbox could watch you and determine you are drunk, in which case you'd gain XP quicker, or the game would be easier? I'm not sure of the mechanics, just the idea itself.

The creator of Archer, Adam Reed, was one of the creators of Sealab 2021, which is almost a long form version of this idea.

I was going to do a FPP, but I'll tack it on here so I don't melt MetaFilter with too much awesomeness on the front page at once. All the Archer characters are drawn based on actual people the show's creators know in Georgia, and not the people you would think. Yeah it's a slide show, but it's worth clicking through.

More Archer mashups, you say? Well, howzabout that time when Archer was made a partner at Sterling Draper Pryce Cooper, as captured in the tumblr blog Sterling Archer Draper Pryce, in which images from Mad Men are treated as memes, but with quotes from Archer?

Patrick Stewart did say in an aside that he would be interested in doing an animated TNG remake if it was created by Seth Mcfarlane.

It may be a little off-topic, but it seems that the author of that Sterling Draper Pryce Cooper tumblr suffered a horrific attack, kidnapping and rape, and came back swinging. This post also includes a great pic that the Archer people sent her, which I thought was a very decent gesture of support.

Let me run this by you: Pam's voice for Scotty.

Wow. That's incredible. From the donations page (which raised almost 5x the target!): Afterward, her face bleeding, she walked back into her home and told her terrified landlord "Don't touch me. I'm evidence." And then right back to making people laugh. Amazing, amazing person.

(Dammit all, I wanted my reply below chairface's comment about Pam's voice for Scotty, not jason_steakums' about the attack on Sterling Draper Pryce Cooper's author, which came as a horrible shock when following her tumblr. I suppose the lesson is that timing Archer quotes must be done diligently since he is in many ways an appalling person.)

This was a wonderful link until I got to the post about the horrible thing that happened to its author. I was gratified to learn that their fundraising efforts were so successful, but what an awful thing to have to endure...

I've gotten Vimeo to play about 18 seconds of this, maybe half with audio. You are correct.
