I had forgotten that Wikipedia had an animated GIF illustrating "Duck, Duck, Goose".

I think this one is missing the sound effect.

I had forgotten that Wikipedia had an animated GIF illustrating "Duck, Duck, Goose".

Those two need to let someone else play for once.

I like this? But I was hoping for, and would much prefer, say, a grid or something. I don't love the one-at-a-timiness of it.

I spent entirely too much time waiting for this to become something else.

Is it possible to limit this to just animated cutaway diagrams of engines because I could watch that shit all day.

At first, I thought there was some weird reason that the flag of Yugoslavia was waving, but then I found the Wikimedia page of animated GIF flags from around the world. Viva the 1990s!

The Vatican City flag just looks so sad in comparison to all the other rectangular flags.

And the Christian flag is really motivated.

I still can't believe no-one came up with a better name for that thing than "throbber," which sounds like a) one of those obscure film set jobs, b) PORNPORNPORN, or c) an entry on one of those "Stupidest D&D Monster" lists.

Man, a lot of these mechanical animations really make you appreciate the human capacity for innovation. I can't stop staring at the cardan joint. Well done, humans.

So cool to see something that I built on MetaFilter! I'm glad you're all enjoying it and now I'm thinking that I should run another dump from Wikipedia to make sure I've got all of the GIFs that have been added in the past year. I'm also considering making the UI better and I'm open to suggestions on what a better UI would look like.
