For the seriously TL;DR crowd.

Oh, sweet summer child. It is known: recaps are as useless as nipples on a breastplate, they are for sweetlings for whom words are mere wind. You must needs perform the metatextual analysis that is your houses' birthright, to keep the darkness of the showwatcher at bay, for the night is dark and full of ignorance.

Put down that boiled leather. The following will serve : do I presume too much to suggest that you might have - some - reading- to - do?

Am I the only one who felt the last season was just miss-able filler except for maybe a couple of episodes?

I'm fine with the plot. I'll use the internet to brush up on the plots and theories (ie Tyrion is a Slaver Bay immigrant, aquatic god, which explains why he made the drains of Casterly Rock operate properly) once the sixth book comes out. Do you hear me, Martiiiiiiiiii*sob*

Is this where I post all of the Game of Thrones is imminent internet things I've been finding?

Because Summer is Coming.

And we really needed this Princess of Thrones crossover (tv spoilers).

I enjoyed the whole season, but it's true that there was a lot of foot-dragging as we waited for character X to get to location Y. The books can choose to ignore a given character for a much longer period of time, but the TV show can't, so we get the endless 'check-ins' with characters whose arc won't really get going for another season.

Yet I'm very optimistic about the upcoming season, because finally - FINALLY - they've said that in some storylines they'll be moving past the currently existing books and 'spoiling' the upcoming ones. That will mean, hopefully, that the pacing will fit the rhythms of TV much better.

(Also I saw Arya's new costume and it looks rad)

Do you think Gendry is still in his rowboat?

New Arya costume. This... MIGHT constitute a spoiler, I guess. It's just an image of the outfit.

Not nearly as helpful or amusing as the episode summaries at Gay of Thrones.

... which, incidentally, had the best Game of Thrones summary there ever was or likely ever will be, thanks to an amazing cameo. (Spoilers, for those who aren't up-to-date.)

I'd watch the adventures of Tilda Swinton, Baby Kristen Stewart, and Dog the Bounty Hunter for sure.

Sesame Street presents: Game of Chairs. I wonder how old some of their viewing audience will be by the time the books are done.
