oh, wow, she's tiny! I had no idea.

Julianne Moore is an actor I used to hate because I just a little bit didn't care for her but she was in EVERY DAMN MOVIE I liked. LIke I think she might be in 75% of my favorite movies no joke. I was suffering from Julianne Moore overexposure. And then slowly, year by year, she wore me down. By her relentless commitment to being a very good actress in very good movies and never not being in movies I like. She won me over.

This was fun.

Hey it's that guy who shouted a lot on Parks & Rec.

If I had to define the word "contrived", I would probably use this video as an example.

FUCK THE SHOUTING GUY!

But here's a dollar for you, Julianne Moore. And could you pass this dollar bill on to Todd Haynes for me? I'd appreciate it.

I mean, how would I feel if I didn't speak the language and then some fast-shouting man thrust a diminutive crying woman at me whom I didn't recognize and he shouted that she famous? I would probably awkwardly hug the crying famous lady too.

I enjoy the Julianne Moore acts for tips gimmick, but I dislike the attempt to specifically prevent people from interacting with the other characters there. I'm guessing Julianne Moore makes a lot more money than Elmo (at least pre-HBO elmo!) and this shouting man is literally taking money out of Elmo's and Spiderman's pockets. They're not there as a gimmick for youtube. They're trying to pay their rent.

On the other hand, aggressive Times Square panhandling by people in costumes can range from annoying to creepy to scary, depending on the day and the Elmo.

Yeah, if you want to talk about acting, look how much emotional arc Spider-Man manages to convey there with his face covered and no dialogue:

"Okay, who is this screaming asshole with the microphone? Screw off, idiot... wait I know that woman with him. OMG, it is five-time Academy Award (TM) nominee Julianne Moore! Wait... is she scooping my customer? Hey, she just cost me ten bucks!"

I'd like to apologize for not apologizing when I almost knocked Julianne Moore over in the west village, sorry Ms. Moore, I was in a hurry and you're very tiny.

The Whelk, it takes a big person to apologize for not apologizing to Ms. Moore for almost knocking her down in the village. But... not that big.

... also, apologize is one of those words where, when you type it enough, it looks really wrong.

apologize

Read the comments before viewing vid, and the minute I saw "Shouting guy" I knew it was Billy in the Street. Although yes, he can be annoying, some of these bits are kind of funny. (Including the one with Amy Poehler.)

My comment has been commended as being strongly apologetic, which bothers some men. The word itself makes some men uncomfortable. "Apologize."

Here's The Thing is a frustrating podcast cause Baldwin talks over and tries to completely steer and overshadow the interviewee half the time but Moore is one of the few people who kept control of the direction and kept it from being all about him. The stuff about her early carrer was fascinating!

Yeah, the host dude is an annoying twerp. Julianne Moore acting for tips is amusing.

I've heard that if you use "apologize" enough in a single comment, you automatically gain Canadian citizenship. Sources vary on how many is enough.

By the communicative property of Parks and Rec, I like this.

There is literally no one else I would rather be accosted by & asked to pay for a short acting performance than Julianne Moore (I'd probably request something from Vanya On 42nd Street).

Apologies; apologizing apologisers apologize.

I won't apologize for loving Billy on the Street, which I just today learned about through this post and spent two hours sifting through on youtube, much of the time doubled over and fighting back tears. Pit Bull or Amy Poehler, Would You Have Sex with Paul Rudd?, Indian or not Indian?, Kardashian Fashion Show, etc. If you don't find that funny, FUCK YOU!

This is officially the first time I've come across a thread full of haters for Billy On The Street. It's okay, though, I once didn't understand the schtick either.

Yes, this is the first time I've known people not to like Billy. But if you do like him, check out his sitcom on Hulu called Difficult People. So great.

Billy on the Street is wild. The Meryl-Go-Round video is nuts. His Shondaland theme park is sublime.

What about the kid that was going to get his picture taken with Spiderman? Just because his mom freaked out about Julianne Moore he's got to go back to Topeka with no pictures to prove he was in Times Square.
