The use of a not-English-language version of "Mack the Knife" reminded me of the LONG LONG AGO Ernie Kovacs TV show, which did a regular segment of one-joke silent 'blackouts' with "Mack" in its original German as the soundtrack. I guess everything old is kawaii again.

Harajuku's signature food is crêpes, so I have no idea of how it should translate to instant ramen flavoring.

That ad is a great example of how quickly true Japanese kawaii imagery can devolve into true Western kowai
Yet another example of the importance of good pronunciation. Kawaii and kowai - learn the difference, it could save your life!
