Does this seem like a bad idea to anyone else?

I think I'm getting stupider. I sat here for five minutes trying to think of something clever to say which began with "Among alternative uses..." (you know, like you stick something else in the case, something which when you "transmit[ed] high-speed oscillation to [the equivalent of] the cutting edges — generating 8,000 micro-shaving strokes [or whatever] per minute" would have some comedic effect) and nothing came. Back in the day, I would have thought of about 4 things. At least.

Time to reread product liability laws. Just in case. And polish up some provisions in the will. . . .

I don't know why, but the image of a Benihana's chef comes to mind. Does everyone know what Benihana's is? Probably not. It's one of those asian restaurant where the cooking is done at each table and the chef's are well-educated with a fast-moving knife. Now put that guy on my neck. Ouch...

Didn't Brett Butler (the comedian, not the baseball player) have a routine about vibrating shavers? I remember her saying something like "what's next? Lunging Tweezers?"

Benihana's rocks. And damn, talk about a close shave. after going blade after electric tho, I can safely say that I will take my good ol 5 - 10 strokes a minute with my Mach 3 compared to a hole in my cheek.

Can't we get all of the brilliant minds working in the Toothbrush and Razor Technology fields to put their creative energies into something a bit more pressing? Like global warming, or a new design for fingernail clippers? Something?

Yeah, how high-tech can a razor be? Besides, all these safe razors take the manliness out of shaving. Your grandpa used a straight razor like a real man. And how come it took them 90k for that ugly page that doesn't even render right?

It's the Krusty Brand depilatory! "OW! Is my lip supposed to bleed like this?" "I think so."
